LMAI Panel Discussion Charts Future of Labels in India: Insights & Innovations Unveiled

The Label Manufacturers Association of India (LMAI) hosted a dynamic panel discussion titled “Insights & Innovations-Navigating the Future of Labels in India-Buyer’s Perspective” against the backdrop of the serene Powai Lake.

The event drew a crowd of 120 attendees, including prominent LMAI members, distinguished printer members, the LMAI Board of Directors, sponsors, esteemed panelists, and media representatives.

Distinguished panelists from leading FMCG companies shared their expertise, responding to insightful inquiries posed by moderator Harveer Sahni, Chairman of Weldon Celloplast and Director of LMAI. The esteemed panel comprised packaging development professionals: Koel Bhadra from Loreal, Sanjay Ghoshal from Diageo, Yogesh Bambal from Mondelez, Amit Saurkar from Marico, Sainath Mane from Unilever, and Prabir Das, formerly associated with Mylan.

The event commenced with a warm welcome from LMAI Secretary Jaideep Singh, followed by an introduction of the panelists by event coordinator Sandhya Shetty.

Highlights of the discussion included Koel Bhadra's emphasis on desirability and sustainability in innovation, Sanjay Ghoshal's advocacy for embellished and secure labels amidst sustainability measures, and Prabir Das's insistence on compliance with government regulations in pharma labeling.

Yogesh Bambal underscored the importance of personalization, particularly during festival seasons, while Amit Saurkar stressed the criticality of food safety and the use of non-migratory materials.

Sainath Mane emphasized the significance of selecting printing technology based on product and consumer demographics.
