Sattvik Council of IndiaLaunches “SattvikConsciousness Program Designed for Artiste !!” At SIFASFestival of Arts 2023”

Sattvik Council of India & Sattvik Certifications Singapore together has created an awareness and understanding of the Indian cultural heritage in the arts & food community, featuring independent artists from Singapore. The production and promotion of arts with the Sattvik Consciousness Program enrich the community and add vibrancy to Singapore and the region. Nearly 100 local artists are staging various art forms, including Carnatic and Hindustani Music, Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Kuchipudi, and Odissi, at an art festival being organised by the Singapore Indian Fine Arts Society (SIFAS). “The Festival of Arts 2023 showcases how artists can experiment, push borders and expand horizons and yet be entertaining, pure and soulful.

Highlight shows at SIFAS Festival of Arts 2023

During the SIFAS Festival Opening Ceremony, Sattvik Certifications launched its “Sattvik Consciousness Program Designed for Artiste !! manual” promoted by SCSG specially designed for Artiste that create awareness regarding healthy eating & lifestyle by adopting ayurvedic principles in their diet and lifestyle. SCI and SCSG together with SIFAS aim to be relevant to the younger generation by finding ways to incorporate different ideas to enhance and uplift their productions through Sattvik Consciousness Drive.

During the ceremony, Mr Abhishek Biswas Founder & Secretary General Sattvik Council of India got felicitated by H.E. Periasamy Kumaran – High Commissioner of India to The Republic of Singapore during the SIFAS Festival joining with Mr. Venkataraman Kumar Director – Sattvik Certifications Singapore, Mr. Puneet Pushkarna Chairman (Performances & External Relations) and Mr. K V Rao Resident Director – ASEAN, Tata Sons Pvt Ltd. Chairman & Board Member, Tata Group Regional Subsidiaries – ASEAN also become part of the ceremony.

A magnificent dance production based on the Ramayana, created by Malaysia-based dance legend Ramli Ibrahim in collaboration with renowned Indian Odissi exponent Gajendra Panda. Padam Shri Datum Ramli Ibrahim, M S Meenakshi Sundaram Co-Opted Committee Member and Ms Rajani Rangan CPA Changi Airport Singapore also became part of SIFAS and actively participated in promoting Sattvik Consciousness Program Designed for Artiste !!

With a range of evolving times, there is a prerequisite and requirement for new SOPs in food and way of lifestyle for vegetarian/vegan food safety. SCSG-Sattvik Certifications Singapore expects to bring vegetarian/vegan consumer wellbeing by making a vegetarian/vegan ecosystem system. This program will help the artists with the right food combination that needs to be adopted for a better healthy lifestyle and enhance their performance by reducing the other two Guna’s “Tamas & Rajas”. Maintaining the balance of the self, mind and body through the three Gunas. Following the right combination of food will seek to nourish the body with pure substance and engage in purifying practices. As it is said When diet is wrong, medicine is of no use. When diet is correct, medicine is of no need.” – said Mr Abhishek Biswas Founder & Secretary General Sattvik Council of India.

Themed “Kalpana – Exploring the Past, Imagining the Future” held from April 20 to May 1, 2023, the festival celebrates its illustrious legacy of being the pioneer of Indian Classical Arts in Singapore and its dedicated mission of nurturing young talent by striving to create works that bring new life to the stage for the last 73 years.

 

The concert features melodies inspired by ancient poetry, Indian classical and folk music, western elements, and various languages. This year, the artists have stepped out of their comfort zones to reimagine the cultural arts landscape, he highlighted. SIFAS has always been an established platform for local artists, giving wings to their artistic dreams.
