Whistling Woods International (WWI) has always been committed to creating the next generation of India’s Media & Entertainment professionals. Taking this vision forward, WWI has collaborated with the Delhi Board of School Education (DBSE) to build the next generation of creative individuals through their initiative – the BR Ambedkar Schools of Specialised Excellence (SOSE).

The collaboration between WWI and SoSE offers a unique opportunity for students to explore and expand their creative potential in a dynamic and supportive environment. SoSE, known for its emphasis on providing specialised programmes in various fields, including film, acting, media, performing and visual arts, among others. These specialised domains align perfectly with WWI's expertise and industry-oriented approach.

As part of this collaboration, WWI has been teaching students of Grade 9 to 12  – foundational learning in Film, Acting & Media. As a part of this teaching, WWI recently hosted a transformative 4-day workshop for 80+ students from SoSE. The workshop included hands-on work in Fashion, Filmmaking, Dance, Acting, Song Picturisation and provided these students with a platform to explore the world of media and creative arts. A standout feature of the workshop was the interactive sessions with legendary filmmaker, Subhash Ghai.

The students attended a special screening of the film, Stanley Ka Dabba and were deeply moved by the film's captivating storytelling and powerful performances, which left a lasting impact on their artistic sensibilities. That was followed by an interaction with the filmmaker, Amole Gupte.

The session with Subhash Ghai, Founder & Chairman, WWI, akin to a masterclass, aimed to inspire and empower the students on their journey towards becoming accomplished media and entertainment industry professionals. He encouraged them to introspect and discover their true calling. He also stressed on the significance of focused learning and following the path of excellence in their chosen fields.

Through these immersive experiences, the students were inspired and encouraged to explore their potential as aspiring artists in the media and entertainment industry.

Meghna Ghai Puri, President, WWI, said, “The Delhi School Board's initiative to establish specialised schools, offering education in diverse areas beyond the traditional high school curriculum, is commendable. WWI is proud to have been running the film, acting, and media vertical in four of these schools for the past year. This unique learning experience aims to inspire and empower the students, helping them develop as future media and entertainment industry professionals with higher-end technical expertise.”
