UBS Champions Diversity and Inclusion through Community Learning and Celebrating Pride

UBS is committed to fostering a culture of diversity and inclusion and concluded a series of events and initiatives to promote awareness, empathy, and allyship.

To enhance inclusivity, UBS hosted in-person Human Library sessions featuring speakers from the LGBTQ+ community who shared their personal journeys and challenges. Participants gained valuable insights into the effects of discrimination, fostering greater empathy and understanding.

In celebration of Pride, UBS organised parades at their offices promoting a culture that values diverse perspectives and celebrates inclusivity.

UBS integrates inclusion throughout the employee lifecycle by upholding equal opportunity and equal pay, conducting hiring manager sensitization training, utilising diverse hiring panels, and crafting gender-neutral job descriptions. They partner with organizations supporting specific diversity groups for direct candidate engagement.

The UBS Pride and Allies Network fosters a safe and inclusive environment for LGBTQ+ professionals. By supporting, educating, and connecting, the network enhances awareness and allyship within the organization. They have implemented several policy and benefits enhancements, including gender-neutral policy wording, comprehensive non-discrimination policies, gender-neutral insurance coverage for same-sex partners, paid transition leave, and all-gender restrooms.

UBS’s ongoing efforts and initiatives underscore its dedication to creating a workplace where everyone feels valued and respected, championing diversity and inclusion at every level.
