OPPO India today announced the launch of the OPPO Premier League (OPL) 2026, a first-of-its-kind cricket league to foster employee engagement, deepen collaboration across its partner ecosystem and celebrate the shared love of sports.
Scheduled to kick off today, the Opening Day ceremony in Noida, India will mark the beginning of a tournament that will run through March 2026. Rooted in the passion for cricket, the OPPO Premier League brings together 23 partner organizations across the industry including players such as Haier, Dixon, vivo, Lava, XIHU tech, BPL and several others.
Designed as a culture-led initiative, the OPPO Premier League goes beyond a traditional internal engagement programme. By creating moments of camaraderie on the field, OPPO aims to nurture a positive, energetic and inclusive workplace environment, while reinforcing long association with industry peers.
Commenting on the initiative, Mr. Rakesh Bhardwaj, Board Member and Director Public Affairs at OPPO India, said, “The OPPO Premier League 2026 is a reflection of our people-first philosophy in action. It is more than a cricket tournament; it is a celebration of trust and cross-functional collaboration that is driven by shared purpose. By bringing our extended ecosystem onto one field, we aim to encourage a healthy competitive spirit, and reinforce a culture where people grow together—both professionally and personally.”
The Opening Day will feature a ceremonial kick-off, team introductions, and the first set of matches, setting the tone for a season that blends healthy competition with shared purpose.
Through initiatives such as the OPPO Premier League, OPPO India continues to reinforce its commitment of fostering a positive sentiment across its ecosystem.
